A great place for larger groups as they have a lot of seating outdoors with heaters for chillier days. I sat outside here with a group of approximately twelve (and two dogs) in early December and it was still a bit chilly despite having heaters, so just make sure to wear some extra layers if you're anticipating sitting outside during the winter months. Their food is decent too - their parmesan truffle fries were great as appetizers and I tried their tuna melt which was pretty good as well (they put bits of chopped apple in it!).

We were waitlisted for appox. 30 mins on a beautiful and sunny Sunday afternoon, so we opted for the first available, which was outdoors. I do wish the umbrellas could swivel or the plexiglass has shades,, because the sun was hitting the left side of my face through the glass with aggression. We got 2 beers each, grilled artichokes, and the crispy sampler. Everything was amazing! I oved the calamari, and nothing tasted like old oil, which is a peeve of mine for fried foods. Def give HMB Brewing a try if you're in the area. Service was friendly as well.

HMB Brewing Co is one of our favorite places to go to in Half Moon Bay. The place is big, so we always seem to walk in and get seating right away. The vibe is great, servers are friendly and I just really enjoy sitting outside watching the view and people walk by. It's also very kid friendly. The food is great, we love seafood so I usually go for the crab louie, the clam chowder, crab sandwich, fish tacos, calamari, fries and more. The last time I went, I ordered a salad and added the blackened fish as a protein on top and there was so much of it. I love the food here. We come here quite often, as HMB is one of our favorite drives to take out of the city. This will always be in my top 10 brewery to go to.

It was a beautiful winter day and we decided to try this place after a day at the beach. View is great and that's the selling point. We got seated right away and they took my order quick. Food came fast which was a bit surprising but nice. Calamari was good, not how I prefer it but good. Clam chowder, the one across the street is better yup I said it. The downside is service was slow after we ate. It took us a while to get our check. No one checked with us and we had to wait for a while. Weird.

Juliana our hostess was so sweet and helpful. She saw that I was a handicap veteran and told me that the weight wouldn't be long at all and a little did. I know it was very quick that we got to a table and as it turned out, it was our favorite table from every time that we come here we like that table. It was meant to be she was a dear sweet person, and that quality service continued our table. Our server was James. It was busy and he was all business when he walked up but before the end of the lunch, we all had a great conversation. He was a really nice guy. Looking forward to his trip in Japan and my wife and daughter are Japanese descent and so he was so happy to chat them up as well and hear tips about where to go and what to see. We ordered our appetizers. We ordered the artichoke hearts which I was very curious about and garlic fries. My daughter had a lavender lemon drop which they are famous for her hair and she ordered a crab roll. My wife had the fish sandwich and I had the southwest chicken salad. Everything that arrived at the table was worth taking a photo of and enjoying completely. The plating was beautiful. The colors were vibrant and fresh looking and the food tasted wonderful. We didn't leave anything on our plates when we left well, we did have a doggy bag, but it didn't have a lot in it. It was just the portions are nice sized. We had a cider and beverage called a damage and I like to have a beer or a cider with my meals and these were perfect. Before we left, we certainly wanted to give a shout out to Giuliana and James for their wonderful customer service while we were guests at the restaurant. As you sit looking across the street at the Bay and your food arrives it takes you away. It's such a lovely location. I will always come back to this spot. It's a special place for my daughter and I and my wife and I too. The last sidenote I'd like to make as I was really not fully understanding how that artichoke would be presented, and it turned out to be a wow factor for all of us. You really should order that artichoke. As a final note, I would also like to thank Jacob for his hospitality. He was the manager on duty while I was there and was glad to talk to me about the customer service as I was in the industry at one time, and I told him that he was hitting all the bullet points that makes a customer happy. He was very glad to hear that . Anyway, it'll be nice when I go back through there again the next time and he's working we can catch up.

The joy of turning 21 during the pandemic was interesting. During that time, restaurants and bars were scarce, yet everyone wanted me to experience the fun of finally being legal. My Pop took me here back then for a nice meal, view, and cocktail. After finding ourselves in Half Moon Bay the other day, it was only fitting to pay a visit! My family of three came to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company mid-afternoon on a weekend. We managed to score a seat overlooking the bay thanks to the fantastic hostesses. It was perfect timing as a vast line formed behind us. This hot spot is where tourists and locals gather for food and drinks. The draw for us was the giant outdoor patio, which was spacious, breezy, and dog-friendly. There's also an inside section, but we've never dined there. We appreciated all our interactions with staff--we were checked on, had our dishes bussed almost instantly, and had great back-and-forth convos. We loved the staff coming by to say hi to my pup, too! My family and I started by sharing Artichoke Hearts and Garlic Fries. The fries were crispy and soft, with enough garlic to not overpower. The artichoke was a new dish to me; it was crunchy on the outside but juicy inside. I had the Blackened Fish Sandwich with Coleslaw. The fish was mild, but oh my, it had a kick! I wish there were more aioli as well to balance it. My family enjoyed their dishes--a sandwich and salad. The portions were well-sized, and we all took our food to go. For those going through Half Moon Bay and looking for a scenic restaurant--I suggest Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. It's a casual spot serving popular seafood and other American fare. Find them off Capistrano Road with a vast free private parking lot out front!

Went to Fitzgerald preserve and then lunch here on Labor Day. The wait was 15 minutes but it did get increasingly busier as we waited. We were seated outside and the host brought us a high chair right away. We shared the fish and chips ($20) which was a large portion of three cods and a huge basket of delicious thick and crispy fries. My husband had their brew burger which he shared was solid. I ordered their pomegranate beer and I absolutely loved the refreshing fruity flavor without it being sweet. Plenty of guests had their dogs and there was an umbrella for every table. Chill summer vibes all day!

Parking is tight. Luckily we found a spot right away. We walked up to the front desk and they took our name and phone number. Asked us if we wanted indoor our outdoor or the first available. They said the wait would be around 20 minuets. Less than 5 minutes later they texted us. Unfortunately the seating available was inside as it turned out is was for the better. You actually got a view of the beach. We had a window seat. Sadly only one of us could see the view. The other one looked at the interior at the stained glass. Overall I was happy with our seats. The temp was pleasant inside. Not too hot or cold, just right. Service was great. We got greeted right way. They brought waters out and we placed our order. The food came out quickly, lightening fast. We ordered the crab roll and the fish and chips. Hands down the fish and chips were a winner. I wished I had ordered them. They were so much better than the crab roll. The crab roll was just ok. Nothing special. There weren't any big pieces of crab, as you can see in the picture it was all shredded. I wouldn't order it again. The fish and chips were fantastic. It came with 3 big pieces of fish, crispy and perfect with the tarter sauce and cocktail sauce. The fries were perfectly crispy. I highly recommend this place to others. I'll be back next time we're in Half Moon Bay.
